"There are 2 different types of dive centres: the large ones, where the divers are taken out to sea in big boats with many passengers: the smaller, more personalized dive shops, with a maximum of 8 people per small boat. The best of the smaller centres is said to be Deep Blue, A.R.Salas 200 esq Av. 10 Sur, T/F 25653, deepblue@cozumel.com.mx Matt and Deborah, an English/Colombian couple run the centre. All diving is computerized, the only place on Cozumel where this is used as standard on all dives. As well as the reefs just off the island, Deep Blue offers trips to reefs further offshore, including some unusual sites not covered by other dive shops. All PADI and NAUI certifications, eg Open Water Diver US$360, 3-5 day pacakges US$165-250; Cavern & cenote diving, including 2 dives, transportation and lunch US$130."
